Accessibility statement
Saathi aims to conform to WCAG 2.2 Level AA, aligned with IS 17802 — the ICT accessibility standard mandated under the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016.
What we build for
- Every action works with a keyboard alone — nothing requires dragging (SC 2.5.7).
- Touch targets are at least 24×24 px everywhere and 44×44 px on logging screens (SC 2.5.8).
- Every chart has a synchronized table or text alternative (SC 1.1.1).
- Status is always shown with an icon and a label, never colour alone (SC 1.4.1).
- Forms keep your input on errors, describe fixes in plain language, and support paste and password managers (SC 3.3.8).
- Multi-step forms save each step and never re-ask what you already answered (SC 3.3.7).
- Animations respect your reduced-motion system setting.
- Screen readers announce saves, sync status and celebrations through a polite live region (SC 4.1.3).
Known limitations (v1)
- Interface language is English only for now; Telugu and Hindi are planned.
- Some print-only sheets are optimised for paper rather than screen readers.

If anything is hard to use with your assistive technology, please tell the school coordinator — accessibility problems are treated as bugs.
